André Eichman is a photography based fine artist. He grew up in San Diego and Germany before spending time in Asia. He now lives in the UK and focuses primarily on photographing the natural world where he lives.
‘I love to explore the world around me and my work is about finding the quiet within the image; whether it is in nature or an urban environment. I want to focus the attention on a single image or the texture of a landscape without interruption.’
Modern day life has become an explosion of objects and distractions demanding our attention. André’s photography focuses on a single image or the texture of the landscape without any other disturbance. Sand becomes silk, petals become parchment paper. The delicate patterns and simplicity of shapes are what drive these series of images showing us the beauty and delicacy of nature.
André’s work has been exhibited around the world as well as being held in many private collections. He shoots with a range of different cameras including large format film cameras. This series of images is produced on Hahnemule archival paper to bring out the textures and vibrancy of the image.
